I recently tried to install an app called chippin (might be a regional app) but the app crashed. Couldn't understand why and got rid of it, later realized that recently working apps like 8ball pool started to crash too. Thought It was a system-wide issue and painfully factory reset my phone. That fixed my issue and my apps started working again, until I tried to reinstall chippin. After chippin crashed again, other normally working apps started to crash too

I use Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 pro Android 13 with flashed MIUI 14 Global 14.0.2.0 Rooted with modules : Shamiko, Universal safetyNet fix, Zygisk and LSPosed modules : Disable flag secure and lucky patcher

If anyone has an idea about why this problem is caused or how can I fi it, It would help a lot. I really don't want to painstakingly factory reset again

Edit: I tested with a different phone and problem seems to be only on my phone. I have no option other than factory reset, not use the problem app and hope for the best I think so I am going to do that for now.

Android apps are placed in sandboxes to prevent them from affecting other apps or data they shouldn’t have access to.

If the app has somehow broken that, then it is likely you WANT to factory reset.

There are some permissions that allow apps to inject themselves into strange places that will affect other apps, but not many.

I would avoid that app and definitely reset

Thank you for the reply. I forgot to mention in the post that I tried the app on my moms phone to see if the app always crashes on every android, but it worked fine even though my moms phone is no name android brand. I thought maybe my root was messing with it, but before downloading the chippin app, these apps worked fine. I am definitely going to factory reset as soon as possible, but I am really curious about why that happens. Could it be because it's a Xiaomi phone? Or MIUI? Could different vendors phones act different with apps or something? Today I am going to gift a Xiaomi phone to my brother for his birthday, after he opens his present I can try to see if apps has a problem with Xiaomi phones. I will update the post if that is the case.

It’s very possible that payment related apps strongly dislike rooted phones

Root is hidden with Shamiko, but It could very well be. But in that case only one app would crash right? It shouldn't affect the other apps. Whatever is the case, I'll try with a fresh Xiaomi phone later and update the post. Thank you so much for your reply.
