Where exactly does any of the sourced material show that the opinion "Republicans are too obsessed with trans people" is being held at all, much less among what proportion? How is "too obsessed" even defined?
That headline is infested with weasels.
Pride month, June, when schools are out for summer, is when your nephew's middle school was quizzed about LGBT sexuality? And that's a totally real thing that happened without getting any coverage from a right wing outrage farm?
Bullshit.
Deny it all you want. I was in the school and saw it with my own eyes. every hall was plastered with the 50+ pride flags and when I asked him about it that's what he said. It's part of the curriculum for them to know the differences in pride flags now.
I think it would make sense in queer studies class in college. But why a middle school should be be expected to now the difference btween BDSM and allosexuality and their flags, i have no clue. But that is the werido world we live in now. Kid doesn't even have an interest in girls yet and he's expected to know these things so he doesn't oppress anyone or something.
This did not happen. No middle school is teaching children about BDSM. Blatant lies.
It did happen. They had BDSM flag, leather flag, bear flag. you name it. Each of them had a nice little blub at the bottom explaining the meaning and details of the flag.
And he had to do a quiz to identify them as part of his 'lgbt awareness' lessons.
Bullshit. Give any evidence of this claim.
edit: you seem to be confused. I said "give any evidence of this claim," not "downvote me for rightfully calling out your bullshit."
Hey, I'm not going to deny that trans and LGB+ rights haven't garnered more attention lately.
But you said "for the past 3 years".
I'm sorry...when did the first bathroom bills gain popularity? Was it 2016ish? I feel like it was 2016ish.
Republicans have ALWAYS been obsessed with the genitalia of strangers.
Ironically, you just proved the article's point.
That's weird. I voted Democrat my entire life. Didn't know I was a republican.
Guess I should start voting for Republicans now? I suppose you also assume I hate transpeople too?
i suppose my ignorance of allosexuality is also very harmful and offensive.
You complain about BDSM. Okay. Where were you when 50 Shades of Grey dropped?
I participant in BDSM. I knew about it a decade before 50 Shades of Grey. Thanks.
I don't think 12 year olds should be talking about BDSM it in a 6th grade health class. they should be talking about biology, not queer theory. Sexuality is a private matter that people should figure out for themselves, they shouldn't be 'educated' about it by a public school. They have plenty of time to learn queer theory in college. But for some reason 'progressive' schools insist on pushing college-level theoretical discourse on pubescent children, because the educations at these schools are in a weird moral arms race to be the most 'woke'. and apparently LGBT is now no longer woke, we need to have all 50 'alt' gender/sexualitty identifiers taught to 12 year olds, lest they be oppressed by not knowing someone is identifies as 'trigender' or 'lithromantic'. Hell, about 75% of the 'alt' pride flags collapse in on themselves given any thought, as they just splitting hairs.
They also shouldn't be studying quantum mechanics either, because they haven't even taken Algebra 1 yet. This is the same school, btw that decided to cancel advanced math classes in 8th grade because it was 'oppressive' to minority students who were underrepresented in those classes. That decision caused so much outrage they had to walk it back. but that took a full year, screwing many kids out of advanced classes.
Call me a facist I guess, but I don't think kids should the victims of political ideologies being shoved down their throats by activists/extremists. I don't think my nephews should be forced to pray to God in school either. They should just be there to learn basic skills and basic facts. They should be taught LGBT people exist, and that's it. They shoud be taught about major world religions too. But They should not be taught what to think about them or get caught up in other people's sexuality/gender debates about the difference between all 50 pride flags, just also doesn't need to know about the 50+ orders of the Catholic church and their missions/doctrines. (he can learn about that if he studies theology in college). The standard LGBT flag is enough for a 12 year old.
You've given is no evidence, spewed false accusations and ad hominems. The fact you so quickly brushed 50 Shades of Grey aside - an erotic fanfic turned film that had a theatrical fucking release - so quickly just you can whine about trans people again says more about you than me.
You didn't read a word I wrote.
Sorry, unless I misunderstood and you think 50 shades of gray should be part of 6th grade english? Because it was such a deep and profound novel... and not straight up pornography.
And what would that accomplish? You've provided no evidence, and I ain't doing your homework.
then why bother replying? what point are you trying to make?
who said that?
