I need to say something but I can't figure out how to do spoilers.
If there was a mind flayer plus like 2 demigorgons, the humans in the battle would have been screwed. The mind flayer is somehow weaker than the low level grunts?? Just like US presidents??
And Hop obviously knows Elevin is still alive in the end, or else he'd be a wreck. IMO
They relied heavily on plot armor.

That ending was such a fucking cop out. Literally the only character of consequence that dies the entire series (the dude last season was introduced at the beginning of the season), and at the end they have to be like "actually, she didn't die because magic"
So lame. Just no stakes whatsoever.
