A bit misleading, to have the power to remove Trump requires 67 Senate votes which means removing every single Republican up for reelection and losing no seats or otherwise convincing those Republicans to remove Trump.

Even then, the line of succession will go to Christofascist Vance.

Voice of reason.

He commits impeachable offenses LITERALLY every single day. Just impeaching him with no consequences is a waste of effort, and it's not like Vance is going to be a picnic. Besides, Id rather leave Trump in and watch him make the MAGA candidates dance in 2028, teasing them about staying in or getting out, etc. He'll have lots to say, and they'll be afraid to cross him, etc. It's going to be entertaining.

If Vance is in, it gives him a chance to normalize MAGA, and make them viable for 2028.

vance can then be impeached if he does not follow the law.

Will he be impeached before or after he's excommunicated?

EDIT: I was wrong, he's Catholic, he should be excommed

Evangelicals don't believe in excommunication, their churches don't have central authorities which is why so many of them turn into money grubbing scams like televangelists with mega-churches.

And then you'll have the equally loathsome Mike Johnson. It's scumbags all the way down with that mob.

Vance will have chosen Thiel as his vice before then.

[–] Almacca@aussie.zone 1 points 12 hours ago

I reckon Thiel is probably pretty content where he is, running things behind the scenes.

The VP has to be confirmed by the Senate if appointed after the election. A Senate that would convict Trump wouldn't confirm Thiel.

following the law which includes the constitution should be the standard regardless. then it goes all the way down.

if trump gets impeached then theoretically congress should be functioning again and enforcing the constitution and law on the executive.

I feel like Vance for all his aspirations cannot be compared to an elderly serial rapist pedophile who dodged the draft and tore down a wing of the whitehouse.
