Acceptable

lol. The entire exhibit is a propaganda outlet for anti-science young earth creationists (they do have the cool animatronic dinosaurs, though)
The Venn diagram of YECs and Antivaxxer is practically a circle.
What’s really hilarious about this place is that they couldn’t even fit half of everything… and some of the larger animals? They had to go with miniature figures.

I went there for a stag party. It was unbelievably stupid. Like worse than you could imagine.
It's interesting because even my parents who are quite religious think it's stupid.
There was a short story written by Terry Pratchett as a sort of tie-in for philosophy book. In the story Charles Darwin writes his famous work but it's still with the view that God exists and evolution is just a method by which God achieves his goals. Anyway the point is made that everybody likes the work because the scientists get to acknowledge that evolution exists, and the church gets to keep God, and all they have to do is throw away a bunch of myths that no one ever really believed anyway.
That's how I think a lot of the more moderate Christians think about the ark. It's clearly just a story, trying to claim it actually happened is ridiculous and just make the religion look stupid. But then you get all these creationist types who come along and claim that the Bible is 100% true. I think the church rather despairs of them really.
Imagine the stupidest thing you can imagine. You aren't even close.

I didnt know this existed but I'm not surprised, I'm sure tons of them have a Noah complex.
I went to church while I was growing up, and learned that Christians believe the earth is 6000 years old.
Carbon dating of dinosaur fossils show they are millions of years old.
The response when I asked about this was that the dinosaurs died because they couldn't fit on the ark.
Every once in awhile the pastor liked to do a sermon or whatever trying to disprove some scientific idea. They wouldn't argue logic though, they would just pick and choose wording in an article...because that is all they know picking and choosing words in a book so confirm to their worldview.
The one I always got was that evolution was just a theory. Not proven.
Because in their world a theory is just an idea that may or may not be true.
I get Christians all the time telling me that the REAL Science is Christian because science was founded by Christians and that if I just look at the evidence....
Weirdly they never have any evidence. Closest they get is rambling incoherently about Objective Morality. "Morals come from God!"
They very obviously do not.
Yuppers. most YECs will typically go with something to the effect of dinosaur bones are very clever divine forgeries. They'll say god did it for free will, or that satan did it to deceive us (conveniently ignoring that satan works for god...)
It's actually a lot like how kids tell a lie ("did you eat the fudge?"... "No"...) to explain what we all see. What anyone with the right equipment could go and observe. but they're so convinced of the inherent infallibility of some illiterate goatherders that come up with ever increasingly wild explanations for why the science is wrong.
Any time I think of Noah's flood I think of livestock transport ships. The largest, which are larger than Noah's ark, can carry 20-30k animals and even with state of the art automated ventilation, feeding and waste removal systems, they have animals die like crazy even on short voyages. On longer voyages or if something malfunctions, it can be hundreds or even thousands of dead animals.
Noah's ark had one window and they were on it for about a year.

NM that's how long it rained. Apparently it took another 86 days for them to leave the boat. That's only about 5 months, not a year.
He entered the ark when he was 600 years, 2 months and 17 days old and came out of the ark when he was 601 years 2 months and 27 days old.

It's funny because the Epic of Gilgamesh, which the ark story is stolen from, the flood only lasts about a week, and everybody knows that's a fictional story. The outrageous version is the story that people believe is real.
Actually reading the biblical account of Noah's story is why it's impossible to believe. It gives a fairly detailed measurement of the ark, and there ain't no way it could have fit 2 of every animal on it with how relatively small it would have been.
Yes. And this place started off using those measurments as a "real" ark. using "real" materials. they had to stop because the timber framing was too thick to hold it up, and the place was far to small for the planned exhibits inisde; so then rather than an actual "boat", they turned it into a building.
They also had massive code violations that had to get fixed.
also, had problems with the boat falling apart.
and I think there was some money problems...
