4. Post titles should be the same as the article used as source.
Posts which titles don’t match the source won’t be removed, but the autoMod will notify you, and if your title misrepresents the original article, the post will be deleted. If the site changed their headline, the bot might still contact you, just ignore it, we won’t delete your post.
5. Only recent news is allowed.
Posts must be news from the most recent 30 days.
6. All posts must be news articles.
No opinion pieces, Listicles, editorials or celebrity gossip is allowed. All posts will be judged on a case-by-case basis.
7. No duplicate posts.
If a source you used was already posted by someone else, the autoMod will leave a message. Please remove your post if the autoMod is correct. If the post that matches your post is very old, we refer you to rule 5.
8. Misinformation is prohibited.
Misinformation / propaganda is strictly prohibited. Any comment or post containing or linking to misinformation will be removed. If you feel that your post has been removed in error, credible sources must be provided.
9. No link shorteners.
The auto mod will contact you if a link shortener is detected, please delete your post if they are right.
10. Don't copy entire article in your post body
For copyright reasons, you are not allowed to copy an entire article into your post body. This is an instance wide rule, that is strictly enforced in this community.

So are you showing up to protests like this armed? If so, does it work?
Nah, remember all the times the right protested while armed? Remember all the times the law came down hard? Me neither.
That's because the right and law enforcement are the same thing.
There are more on the right than just cops. But conservatism is the philosophy of cowards, and that's why the cops didn't fire on them.

The Black Panthers bore arms and escorted people. The establishment became much more respectful of the innocent, when they didn't have a monopoly on violence.

These are different times.
History doesn't repeat itself. But it sure does rhyme. Look what is happening in Iran. That's our future of we don't show our teeth. I don't want the violence to get worse and I don't think we are there yet, but if it does get there I don't want the other side to have an easy time killing us.

Oh, I'm happy to. But I'm one person. Organized armed resistance is the way to go. So that's why I'm calling for more. Fighting fascists is a good way to go.

I think anyone to the left of Biden taking guns to protests is risking their life but armed right wing nutbags never seem to get beaten and killed at protests.

Thats irrelevant, but as a counterpoint: why wouldn't protestors want to be armed? Its your right just like the freedom to protest, so why not exercise it?
Show me any truly successful protest in the last decade. We're getting record attendance numbers but seeing no change because nobody cares to listen. We stopped succeeding when we stopped coming armed.
Its because protests aren't disruptive anymore anymore. We "follow" the protest rules the government laid out, because they know it doesn't work
It's been repeatedly demonstrated that a line of calm riflemen backing protestors prevents police from rioting or doing anything they shouldn't.
