They really are rejecting reality. We have other footage showing him barely getting brushed by it at a relatively low speed. He fires 2 more shots through the driver's side window and then calls her a bitch. It's damning and a jury will decide his fate.

[–] Skyrmir@lemmy.world 56 points 2 days ago (2 children)

The challenge right now is getting him in front of a jury.

[–] HeadfullofSoup@kbin.earth 25 points 2 days ago (3 children)

Maybe someone will bring justice to him

[–] SabinStargem@lemmy.today 5 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Note that the moderator, whoever that is, did a Reddit. They couldn't handle a picture of Mario's brother. Fascist.

[–] HeadfullofSoup@kbin.earth 6 points 1 day ago

I’ve seen, well the mod can suck it

Fuck Ice Fuck fascist and fuck the online coward that enable them i hope the Disciple of Luigi get them all

[–] DarkFuture@lemmy.world 12 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Maybe ~~someone~~ a hero will bring justice to him

[–] HumanOnEarth@lemmy.ca 9 points 2 days ago (1 children)

It'll never happen. Not until MAGA is gone.

[–] Madison420@lemmy.world 12 points 2 days ago (1 children)

It doesn't need to, Minnesota submits warrants to ice, dhs, doj and the last three known addresses for the shooter and they've satisfied the in absentia exception and they can then complete a trial without him. If convicted he'll risk arrest and imprisonment and they can't leave the country, most other countries won't accept anyone with an active felony case let alone conviction and they'd probably enjoy the extradition.

[–] HumanOnEarth@lemmy.ca 9 points 2 days ago (1 children)

The Vice President of the United States of America has literally said the ICE chud is owed a "debt of gratitude". That's after it was clear that he murdered someone.

And you think he won't be specifically protected as a signal to all other ICE chuds? The guy is set for life. They have to make sure he is. Otherwise it's going to be a lot harder to convince them to kill people when they're specifically asked to.

[–] Madison420@lemmy.world 1 points 2 days ago (3 children)

Yeah stupid people say stupid things, what exactly about that is new or surprising, moreover what does it change?

They can protect him from federal charges but not state ones or they would wipe state sovereignity and all the big guns and fun weapons are on the coasts.

[–] UnspecificGravity@piefed.social 2 points 1 day ago (1 children)

What happens to this guy is going to set the time for how ice behaves from here on out.

[–] Madison420@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Sure, I don't disagree but Peter theils bitch isn't in the know or calling the shots, he's just a loudmouth puppet.

[–] UnspecificGravity@piefed.social 1 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

For sure, it just highlights that clearly they know that they are going doing to have problems if their little goons think they might get held accountable for their actions.

[–] GuyFawkesV@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago (1 children)

In normal times I’d agree with you 100%.

But these are not normal times.

[–] Madison420@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago (1 children)

It would be difficult for them to pull off even now, tell a bunch of South shall rise again types that they're throwing states rights under the bus and suddenly they aren't on their side anymore.

[–] GuyFawkesV@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago (1 children)

You forget, it’s a cult.

He promises.

They spout it off, live it, love it.

He 180’s.

So do they.

[–] Madison420@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago

Yes it is, and Confederate creeps are a much bigger much older cult.

[–] HumanOnEarth@lemmy.ca 0 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Oh in that case let's not worry at all, everything is fine!

🙄

[–] Madison420@lemmy.world 2 points 2 days ago (1 children)

No one said that in fact I said just the opposite, don't be obtuse.

[–] HumanOnEarth@lemmy.ca 0 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I'm saying he won't be brought to justice. You, as far as I can tell, are saying he will. Where am I getting mixed up here?

[–] Madison420@lemmy.world 2 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago) (1 children)

Let's start with being "brought to justice", that's a fairly vague concept. I said he could be convicted in absentia. Done, that's where your confused.

The start of the comment chain for reference.

[–] HumanOnEarth@lemmy.ca 1 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Yeah I think you're right. Personally I don't see the justice in being convicted in absentia, on its own.

[–] Madison420@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

Well justice is a weird word to use. Morality is more consequential when talking about convictions and people often conflate the two.

It's justice it's just not particularly moral justice.

[–] HumanOnEarth@lemmy.ca 20 points 2 days ago

You think he'll be taken into custody? Lol!!!

The guy has the blessing of the White House, he's a hero.

And it's exactly that, that demonstrates we have finally crossed the Rubicon. Decent people with functioning brains can see this whole thing was unjustified, and that this is murder.

Yet social media is FULL of bootlickers blaming the victim. Most of them are bots and trolls.

But not all of them. And every one of those people? They're prospective ICE agents. In America or wherever American rules will be enforced going forward. Those are the only people they are creating a narrative for now.

Bottom line? These are not people who are even trying to win elections anymore......they are openly lying while challenging the status quo on every law, political precedent, etc they can manage. This is a significant change (they've lied plenty, but never this nakedly).

That change? They finally reached the point where they are confident they can do whatever they want now, and fully have the reins of power permanently.

Why are they rushing to hire ICE agents and throwing everything they can at enticing people to join up? While so obviously pandering to the exact people who would want to sign up?

I've been saying it for fucking months and months..... but we're getting close now. Just have to keep firing the top brass in the military (install puppets/ remove threat of coup), encouraging hazing and abuse in the military along with kicking out queer people (pander to right wing homophobes while skewing the military right wing by making the military hostile to "liberals"), spreading our military forces far and wide (Venezuela, go! Iran, go! Tomorrow Greenland, go!) and thin.....

Guess we'll see

[–] Asafum@lemmy.world 12 points 2 days ago (1 children)

It’s damning and a jury will decide his fate.

You get a very very sad "LMAO" from me.

He'll never face a jury. The FBI cut local authorities out of the investigation and they're going to clear him especially since JD Fuckworth and Trump are fabricating the reality that ice has "absolute immunity."

:(

[–] SARGE@startrek.website 3 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Fbi can cut local authorities out of federal investigations, but at the state level hes still guilty of murder

[–] Asafum@lemmy.world 3 points 2 days ago (2 children)

They already said they had to stop the investigation because they're being cut out of reviewing any evidence to form a case against him. They can't charge him of murder if they can't prove it wasn't just "self defense" :(

[–] AmbiguousProps@lemmy.today 6 points 2 days ago

They have plenty of other evidence, such as the videos. They still can charge him.

Doesn't seem like they need much more than literal footage of him committing the crime that he posted himself.

[–] Bonifratz@piefed.zip 4 points 2 days ago

Yeah I'm gonna make a bold prediction and say this guy will face no consequences whatsoever.

[–] foggy@lemmy.world 3 points 2 days ago

He will be judged by a Minneapolis jury. The same folks that convicted Chauvin.
