Can someone please explain the advantage of WERO vs the existing SEPA system? I cannot find non-biased reasons to support this product.
It is much more convenient to provide your phone number than your IBAN, both for P2P and online/physical shops. Furthermore, as I understand it, Wero uses SEPA Instant in the background. So it is just a layer on top to facilitate payments.
When sending money using IBAN, doesn't it usually take a day or several hours before the receiver gets the money? Will the receiver be able to see the money directly if Wero is used?
With instant transfers (SEPA Instant) the money arrives in a few seconds, so it's the same for Wero.
It is easier to send money. You just need the phone number of the recipient. So if you want to send money to your friends, you likely already have the phone number.
