4. Post titles should be the same as the article used as source.
Posts which titles don’t match the source won’t be removed, but the autoMod will notify you, and if your title misrepresents the original article, the post will be deleted. If the site changed their headline, the bot might still contact you, just ignore it, we won’t delete your post.
5. Only recent news is allowed.
Posts must be news from the most recent 30 days.
6. All posts must be news articles.
No opinion pieces, Listicles, editorials or celebrity gossip is allowed. All posts will be judged on a case-by-case basis.
7. No duplicate posts.
If a source you used was already posted by someone else, the autoMod will leave a message. Please remove your post if the autoMod is correct. If the post that matches your post is very old, we refer you to rule 5.
8. Misinformation is prohibited.
Misinformation / propaganda is strictly prohibited. Any comment or post containing or linking to misinformation will be removed. If you feel that your post has been removed in error, credible sources must be provided.
9. No link shorteners.
The auto mod will contact you if a link shortener is detected, please delete your post if they are right.
10. Don't copy entire article in your post body
For copyright reasons, you are not allowed to copy an entire article into your post body. This is an instance wide rule, that is strictly enforced in this community.

When will centrists realize that this isn't a both sides thing?
I am disgusted and scared, fuck the center of this country that ignored these problems until they tore it apart.
If a "centrist" can't tell the difference between Nazi gestapo and people who just want to live their lives, they are indistinguishable from Nazis themselves and should be treated as such
Though the Nazis will certainly be able to distinguish between full throated Nazis and centrists, when it comes time for picking the new outgroup. It's part of why centrists annoy me so much — tolerance towards Nazis is literally a slow motion suicide

Being "centrist" shouldn't mean "I support the republicans and democrats equally" it should mean "I can see the value in social and capitalist policies and think there is a middle-ground between them"
Anybody who claims to be a "centrist" and supports almost anything Trump's party is doing is not a centrist, they are right wing.
Capitalist systems are so existentially and catastrophically broken that in order to find a middle ground you have to turn off the rational part of your brain. Centrists cannot handle the implications of this so they consciously or subconsciously thought terminate back to "I support the republicans and democrats equally".
I mean... it is a "both sides" thing in the sense that there is a heavily armed paramilitary group with no oversight abducting and gunning down anyone they want. Doesn't matter how you voted or how many maga hats you buy, if they decide you are "an illegal" they'll toss your wallet away and load you into the back of a van.

Indeed, it's not as if Obama or Biden dismantled ICE when they took office. They are all part of the same machine.

Centrist "independants" demanded respectability politics while centrist democrats turned a blind eye to the suffering of workers. Well its too damn late for the centrists, nobody is buying their policies of "infinite economic growth" and "sustainable but slow progress". Workers are rising up and its clear the only path to liberation is from workers unity.

It is a both sides thing, because your fucking pussies of a Democrat party are showing what wealth hoarding, vote chasing cowards they are, by keeping their heads down and mounting zero opposition to your government being seized by a populist dictator. They are clearly not a viable alternative to this atrocity. We need to replace the whole two party, capitalism-corrupted system, not just ensure that your supposed "good guy party" wins the next election.
Being a centrist doesn't make me a milquetoast appeaser. It means I reject the dichotomy that the only alternative to this populism is more capital-first liberal greed.
Your view of centrists, casting them all as people who can't decide between the two obvious alternatives, rather than people who reject both, is the one thing that both the left and the right agree on. It's propaganda to keep one of the two extractive elites in power and prevent us from ever even discussing actual alternatives.
Same thing, for math lovers: if you take a 1D slice through a n-dimensional normal distribution of views, the more perpendicular a dimension is to yours, the less correlated they are, the more those views will tend to map to the center of the dimension you're insisting on, despite being actually just as distinct. It's your insistence on this 1D view that creates centrists, and your dismissal of them is propaganda to prevent real change.

Assuming you're in USA, you do understand that there's only right and extreme right ? There is no proper representation for the center or the left over there. I hope you vote closest to your convictions though, as not voting is akin to voting for the elected party. "No vote" actually won the last elections, too bad "No vote" isn't a center party.
