Revisionism — No downplaying or denying atrocities past and present. Calling Tankies shills, foreign/federal agents, or bots also falls under this rule. Extremists exist. They are real. Do not call them shills or fake users as it handwaves their extremism.
Tankies can explain their views but may be criticised or attacked for them. Any slight infraction on the rules above will immediately earn a warning and possibly a ban.

Huh?.... Uh... Did you read the wrong statement? He said that war powers are explicitly given to Congress specifically to prevent unilateral action like this and calls out the act as terrible and destabilizing, ergo Congress would not have approved it.
He spends paragraphs pointing out the hypocrisy of the administration claiming to be doing terrible shit for the benefit of US citizens while citizens continue to be exploited. Trump is the one framing this as a domestic issue, this statement is responding to that, pointing out the absurdity of "running" Venezuela when he can't even run America.
And yes no shit he's focusing on the American perspective because he's a politician writing to the American voter audience. If you took 4 seconds to comprehend his statement he's condemning American supremacy and imperialism.
For all the theory tankies tell people to read, it sure seems like their reading comprehension isn't very good.
