Trackballs. Once you make the jump, a world opens up. There's always a better, more comfortable, more feature rich trackball to be had.

I've been collecting Elecom trackballs the past few years, they're nearly perfect for my needs
Nah. Those really hurt the first joint of my thumb. I'm worried I'll burn it out quicker.
Get one that you use your fingers with instead
It's exclusively ambidextrous ones for me, I use a mouse with the right hand but a trackball with the left.
Wait.. at the same time? Go on....
I love trackballs, but no amount of mouse acceleration can make them not a pain in the ass on multiple high res monitors. I love em, but I just can’t use em.
My trick is to not use multiple monitors. I went for a really big 42inch 4k oled which is plenty for all my windows.
