While also still saying they hate just about everything there is about you. This isn't an apology it's an attempt to reclaim some moral dignity.
They will do it again.
I’m not commenting on that aspect of the letter. I agree that it is very non apologetic in the beginning. But it is indeed an apology and regardless of whether or not they mean it, that’s just not what this subreddit is supposed to be about.
So I think your opinions are terrible, you are generally a horrible human being and I honestly can't stand you but I'm sorry about the most obvious mistake I've ever publicly made.

That's an apology by your standards. You can see why other people might not agree, correct?
I feel like an apology is more than saying "I was wrong", it's also saying "I will do better in the future".
An apology is admitting that you were wrong and saying you are sorry. Saying you will do better in the future is better, obviously, but it’s not a necessary component. Furthermore, it’s not relevant to this post not belonging here. Not sure why everyone is struggling with that.
Admittedly I struggle to comprehend how one can express regret without also expressing a desire to change their pattern of actions. I see businesses do that because they can act like a psychopath. Which I guess is why I don't see it as an apology but a giant red flag.
