A giant piece of bread and a bunch of processed meat? This was considered luxurious food?
That dried ham can get very expensive
Those probably aren't the normal cured meat you get at any supermarket, if it's quality aged stuff, it's good stuff
To be fair, that meat tastes a hell of a lot better than "Hickory Smoked Ham & Water Product"
Absolutely. After I left my comment I realized I had just let everyone know I was a US citizen where we have shitty meat-like food which is entirely different than proper European cuisine.
Let that sink in. Even sausage is some ultraprocessed abomination over there.
