The Internet tells me it takes 30 to 60 minutes for edibles to take effect, but I don't feel the full effects until almost 2 hours later! (lemmynsfw.com)

You have to say the activation words: "Man, these edibles ain't shit".

Then you buckle up because the stoner gods will hear that shit and punish/reward you accordingly

Luckily, I was pretty cautious the first times trying them as I'm pretty new to all this, and I just sat on them for for a few hours. After the first hour or so I was indeed saying "these ain't shit!". Later I was indeed rewarded for the wait. lol
