They were infected by roundworm, whipworm, and microscopic protozoans called Giardia duodenalis.

Whenever I don't feel important, i remember that archaelogists 2000 years from now might be studying my poop and cross referencing it with poop from the other side of the world!

I do wonder why the romans ate pork so much considering the tapeworm risk 🤔
