I think Signal has an option built it in to disguise the app as something else. Lemmy apps should start adding that function.
You can do this in android if you use a launcher.
Voyager does have a face-id-to-unlock feature that enable. But yeah, a facade icon/name would be awesome as well
They wouldn’t hesitate to hold it to your face to unlock it.
Passcode would be better, but I’m not sure the 5th amendment works at border crossings like it should.
I think Android in general has a way of hiding certain apps.
I couldn't find the options so I just don't go to the US. Seems like the easier response.
Why not travel with a burner phone?
Because a lack of an account is likely suspect.
