TenForward: Where Every Vulcan Knows Your Name
/c/TenForward: Your home-away-from-home for all things Star Trek!
Re-route power to the shields, emit a tachyon pulse through the deflector, and post all the nonsense you want. Within reason of course.
~ 1. No bigotry. This is a Star Trek community. Remember that diversity and coexistence are Star Trek values. Any post/comments that are racist, anti-LGBT, or generally "othering" of a group will result in removal/ban.
~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen both on lore and preferences. That's okay! Just don't let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person.
~ 3. Use spoiler tags.
Use spoiler tags in comments, and NSFW checkbox for posts.
This applies to any episodes that have dropped within 3 months prior of your posting. After that it's free game.
~ 4. Keep it Trek related. This one is kind of a gimme but keep as on topic as possible.
~ 5. Keep posts to a limit. We all love Star Trek stuff but 3-4 posts in an hour is plenty enough.
~ 6. Try to not repost. Mistakes happen, we get it! But try to not repost anything from within the past 1-2 months.
~ 7. No General AI Art. Posts of simple AI art do not 'inspire jamaharon'
~ 8. No Political Upheaval. Political commentary is allowed, but please keep discussions civil. Read here for our community's expectations.

For me, its also antithetical to Star Trek. I want to see stories of the crew overcoming obstacles by using their unique skillsets to work together. I could be enundated with that everyday and not tire. What I dont want to see is individuals saving the day because they are oh-so special and don't need anyone else. Thats capitalist propaganda.
Yup, ditto on that ... and it would be easy to create a story where mature-woman-who-is-part-killer-croc is not simply the magical solution to everything, but is a needed part of the team that does fix things.
It was the perfect time to involve crew members of different species and bring them all together. It was literally in the plot. So infuriating and not to mention boring
Agreed
Or this one Commander is a good by-the-book 1st officer to one of the most decorated officers in all of Starfleet history, who also kinda sorta happens to be the never-before-mentioned adopted sister is a classic ST cornerstone character, then for some inexplicable reason goes against everything towards insurrection and starts a massive war and is thrown in jail. Until they're the only one who can solve current problem and suddenly things are back to normal. Until some inexplicable time travel event occurs and they're the only one who can solve it because it cause just so happens to be their parents. Then they get flung into the future where the galaxy is in shambles...and even though they're about 900 years out of date they're the only ones who can solve it
Yes, makes total sense. Also, everyone must be crying all the time.
kurtzman never liked trek, he said himself he dint care about the continuity at all. nutrek is just bad all around, the writing is so bad, and the showrunner/executives were definitely pushing obvious agendas.
