As if popcorn wasn't bad enough on its own, I've heard that stuff can sometimes be made from asbestos too
Yup, the one in my basement is. I need to get a remediation quote. I'm estimating around $10~$15K for about 160 sqf.
That's new to me. I just know that asbestos is used as thermal isolation, this sitting right in the middle of the wall sandwiched in between 2 drywall sheets.
Asbestos was used in absolutely everything back then as it was cheap, plentiful, easy to work with and possess some great properties. If it wasn’t for the dangers we would still be using it.
