That is an actual drug smuggling boat meant to transport cocain from Brazil to Spain. In other words the boats the US has been blowing up probably could transport drugs to the US, but that obviously does not mean that they have been doing that.
That's not the type of boat we ate blowing up... A slow moving sub doesn't have the same fuel expenditure and their goals are slightly different. One is a speed and quantity game, the other concealment.
I've been really confused at the administration's claim that what they've been blowing up are drug boats because I thought it was basically common knowledge for years now that narcos were using subs.
Like, I'm not surprised they're lying, it's just the boldness of the lie. It's like if they started blowing up planes claiming they were missile armed enemy fighters, and then it turns out they are exclusively targeting old Cessna's used for crop dusting.
