The thing that jumps out for me is the huge pupils. Cats only get that if its low light, they're targeting something, or drugs. If they were targeting something then there is a massive mismatch between their posture and body language and their pupil dilation.

On the other hand, generative AI know that humans find large pupils on animals cute and is more likely to spit out an image of a cat with dilated pupils.

My money is on AI slop ๐Ÿ™

I have seen my cat have that big of pupils in a similar position while it wasnt dark

Cats also get huge pupils if they get excited. Which if you have the right kind of cat it can get excited by a paint chip on the door. Also those cats are in a box, which is just super exciting.

we discovered ours LOVES those long sheets of packing paper stuff gets delivered in now. she drags one around and then pounces from behind it, like it's mobile cover
