Hey everyone, I am currently in the market for a tablet. My requirements are that it has pen support(either proprietary or usi I don't care), an unlockable bootloader, and a fairly powerful snapdragon processor (preferably 8 gen 3 or 8 elite or something). I would like it to be around 10 inches closer to 9 would be better. I don't know if that's possible though. If anyone has any ideas then that would be extremely helpful.

Edit: I forgot to say what I would use it for lol. I would mainly be using it for note taking since I'm in college but I might also do some switch or PC emulation on it as well.

If the Samsung Galaxy tab line isn't out of your price range that's what I'd go for. They're the gold standard as far as android tablets go. I had a good run with my tab s6 (2019 to this year) and I'm pretty happy with the refurb tab s9 I bought to replace it.

Snapdragon 8 gen 2 (tab s9) will absolutely crush any emulation or android gaming workload you throw at it.

I think a refurb or lightly used s9 with the s pen is around $350ish on fleaBay these days. I bought mine for $400 last year but didn't switch over to it until recently.

I would love to go for a Samsung tablet but my only isssue is the locked bootloader. Which I wouldn't care about if I liked the android skin but for some reason I just can't get behind anything other than aosp or aosp adjacent. Also with the upcoming restrictions on side loading I am thinking rooting is going to be a necessity.

Edit: sorry for the multiple replies jerboa decided to make duplicates

FWIW I didn't bother unlocking the S9, I just use Shizuku when apps need elevated permission to do things and it's worked out fairly well so far. I don't have to play the cat and mouse integrity spoofing game anymore or wrangle manually flashing updates with a laptop so that's nice. Totally up to you what you're going for, I don't need lsposed for anything critical right now so elevated perms is enough for my purposes.
