Women only trans inclusive This is an inclusive community for all things women. Whether you're here for make up tips, feminism or just friendly chit chat, we've got you covered.
Rules…
- Women only… trans women are women, and transphobic or gender critical talk isn’t allowed. Anyone under the trans umbrella (e.g. non-binary, bigender, agender) is free to decide whether a women's community is a good fit for them.
- Don’t be a dick. No personal attacks, no aggression, play nice.
- Don’t hate on groups, hatefilled talk about groups is not allowed. Ever.
- No governmental politics, so no talk of Trump actions etc. We recommend Feminism@beehaw.org for that, but here is an escape from it.
- New accounts or users with few comments may have their posts removed to prevent spam and bad-faith participation.

Reality check from Europe: not the case around here anymore. My parents split cleaning/cooking and shopping. Not the best choice as you would like to still have some cooking skills.
America is probably a couple years behind the 8Ball though.
That being said this gives great opportunity for reverse sexism(aka just as vile sexism, still funny when confusing olds). But I also know a family where load is shared between the adults and one other where no one claims to be able cook. Their pumpkin soup was pretty good, still.
... Knife skills on the other hand...
I hope so, but it’s not ubiquitous. My German mother in law bought us a bunch of cleaning gadgets as a housewarming gift and showed me how to use them instead of my husband the year before last. She also always has me chop vegetables to prep for any meals instead of my husband even though he’s a butcher and I am not good at uniform slices. She doesn’t seem to think my husband’s above it, just somehow incapable (also true of her daughter’s husband but not her daughter, so it’s not just that she raised him).
Most people my age seem to be able to feed themselves and keep their house clean regardless of gender, though.
