I need to read more articles from around that time to put a smile on my face.

Although not too many, as they will start going into "and we gave collaborators of the fascist regime a slap on the wrist, as 10% of the population are fascists, and we can't jail them all and have a functioning society"

I wasn't even specific about Spain/Franco, also, there's the (Spanish language?) meme about "recuerdas que dice abuelo"/"la dictadura era el mejor cosa que pasó al este país de mierda".
