November 18th, 2025: honed

  • Brush: Wolf Whiskers - "Gianmaria" w/Maggard 26mm Synthetic
  • Razor: Koraat 15/16 Full Hollow - Sub Exclusive 'Moarteen' (1)
  • Lather: Stirling Soap Co. - Friends to the End - Soap
  • Post Shave: Murer & Wirtz - Tabac - Aftershave
  • Post Shave: Nivea - Sensitive - Balm

Much better after a touch up. This razor previously had 17 shaves and was lacking in sharpness.

I'll send this razor off to @gcgallant@wetshav.ing to get a new edge. He told me he'd take pictures of my 10k synthetic edge so I can see what that looks like. With one shave on it I assume it'll be pretty close to how it looked when fresh after stropping.

Tabac aftershave is much more floral than the soap. I get more jasmine from it, maybe? I like jasmine despite the poopyness.

Yes, definitely. I don't do it anymore, but I used to do a microscope inspection of each razor after I did a test shave. I've seen enough of how edges change from one test shave to have confidence that the edge is almost unaffected.
