  • Brush: Zenith 506B MB (27 mm × 51 mm Manchurian badger)
  • Razor: Puma 88 (5/8", round tip, carbon steel, hollow ground)
  • Lather: Abbate Y La Mantia – Koké
  • Post Shave: Abbate Y La Mantia – Koké
  • Fragrance: Spearhead Shaving Company – Seaforth! Black Watch

The rhubarb, musk, and pear notes in Koké are a very unusual combination that I haven't seen used that way anywhere else, and they always put me in a good mood. It evokes the smell of very ripe fruit, just before they turn sickly sweet. Delicious, but flirting with cloying disaster, if that makes sense. Also, I just love the artwork of the Koké line.

The plum + citrus in Black watch goes a little bit in that direction, but it's nowhere near the cloying line, and a much more centred, stable fragrance.

The little Puma sparks joy, for no apparent reason.

I agree on the artwork. Very nice. I think I have a sample of Koké around here somewhere. The combination of rhubarb, musk and pear definitely leads me to wonder, "what drugs were done that night!". Though, it could be genius like Blugère.

Why not both?
