  • No ruins, probes, artifacts, or lingering tech
  • No Dyson spheres or interstellar beacons
  • No signs of past galactic empires

Would we really be able to see any of these if they weren't right in the immediate neighborhood?

  • Some transcend biological limitations?

By inventing self-replicating machines, perhaps? :(
