And millions of their supporters. As long as they think their government is punching down on "those" people (and that they get license to do so at least a little bit, too, without any repercussions) and that people like Pedonald are unleashing people to "own the libs". I think some would be even fine with going without a few meals just to make it happen, if you want to be honest.

This right here is why it is so important to stop spending time and energy trying to reach trump voters.

Their single voter issue is "hurting the right people" and the "right people" is you.

The people who need to be reached are the people who don't pay attention to the news.

The people who need to be supported are the local people you know affected by this, and the Democrats, because they (along with continued support whilst using primaries, local and state politics to shift them left from within), are the only pragmatic way to unfuck the situation.

I remember talking to a redhat in-law and him going on about Biden's so-called "horrible" economy that we now need Taco to help "recover" from. I pointed out that both he and I seemed to be getting by just fine, and in fact, both were doing better under the Biden years (this was early 2025, and of course the market was in free-fall right around then).

He kind of pauses when acknowledging I was doing just fine, and doesn't want to say it outright, but suggests that maybe I'm not someone that should be doing just fine (but it's fine if he is). I think he worded it something like, "wellll, maybe not all the right people were doing okay under Biden".

Because I went to college, is basically why. He's one of those people that believes getting a secondary education somehow "taints" people. Of course, exemptions must be and are made, since even Taco went to college, FFS.

So, in at least one confirmed case, their issue is not that they are doing just fine under Biden (and TBF, both he and his wife worked perfectly fine jobs under both Taco admins, at least so far), but that others (i.e., college-educated people like me) might be doing just fine. I guess they want to see people that ruined their good morals by going to university standing in line at the soup kitchen? I just don't fucking get it. The more educated people you have, the better off the entire society is going to be, but I guess a certain kind of person without an education just resent people that are smarter/more educated? It makes no sense at all, though.

If we were to have some kind of Chinese Maoist revolution, where we had idiots like this throwing down all the educated and all the professors, our society would probably have millions dying of starvation and from violence, etc....but it is seemingly what a lot of these anti-intellectuals really do want.
