I'll start with some of my favorites:
Survivor Build (Solo queue standard):
Perks: Desperate Measures, Kindred, Open Handed, Bond
Item: User discretion
Explanation: This build is designed to even out the experience in solo queue by being a team player. Desperate measures is a great clutch healing perk, since it gets stronger the worse your teams situation is. It also gives unhook speed a relatively rare bonus that will change games in the instances it gets you value. Bond will let you keep tabs on your teammates, find heals, and avoid sandbagging. Lastly Kindred and Open Handed is an interesting perk combo that turns you into a radar where you've been hooked. The zone is huge, and your team will be able to make better decisions when you're on hook. It also enhances any aura reading they might have themselves. On a small map like the game, a central hook can essentially result in you giving mapwide wallhacks to your team.
Killer Build (Surprise Doctor):
Perks:
Monitor and Abuse (or Trail of Torment), Hex: Devour Hope, Hex: Face the Darkness, Hex: Thrill of the Hunt
Add-ons: Calm(With monitor) or User discretion, and Discipline of your choice
Explanation:
The idea behind this build is to use Monitor and Abuse + Calm to get surprise value from Devour Hope when you hit expose stacks. When I made this build I used Trail of Torment, and the idea was to not kick gens until I had the stacks, then kick a gen and become stealth instadown doctor, but you lose access to your big shock to find people, so Face the Darkness has to do some lifting. Face the Darkness also pulls double duty for totem defense, and along with doctor's other shocks you have decent chances to keep your totems up. However, recently Otz made a video highlighting the synergy between the Calm add on and Monitor, which let's you get a lot of the stealth benefits without losing your big shock entirely. It also means you can kick gens without ruining the devour hope surprise.
Its a tough build to play, but so fun when it finally comes together
