Mexico President Claudia Sheinbaum has said she will press charges against a man who groped her during a public appearance.

Mobile phone footage of the incident on Tuesday shows Sheinbaum speaking to a group of supporters on a street near the National Palace in Mexico City. A man approaches her from behind and attempts to kiss her on the neck and place his hands on her body.

"My view is, if I don't file a complaint, what will happen to other Mexican women? If they do this to the president, what will happen to all women in our country?" Sheinbaum said at a news conference on Wednesday.

Morena, her political party, is very friendly to the drug cartels, AMLO (our last president) went to greet Chapo's mom for example. He's the one that created morena.

His ideology was "let them work and they won't mess with you" .

Idk why the quotations since this was never said.

Yes cartels (which are funded by the US) do have a big influence in Mexico, but no MORENA isn’t friendly to the drug cartel.

They understand that going into blood battles against them doesn’t improve it. ( which happened in previous governments) Instead they are targeting the root cause like:

  1. taking 11 million Mexicans out of poverty,
  2. increased salaries
  3. education grants
  4. infrastructure, etc.

their actual slogan is: “abrazos no balazos” which means hugs instead of bullets.

They understand that most don’t joins cartels out of fun, but need.

1 their numbers... Not the reality

2 yes they are working on the minimum wage, but a what's the point if inflation is sky high 30 eggs (la cartera, para que entiendas que soy mexa) it's $100 pesos?

3 education grants to teenagers that will vote next election? Are you kidding me? They are buying votes....

4 infrastructure? Ask Samsung what they think? Or how about when he cancelled NAICM because they were corrupt without proof and they made vs El chAIFA that gets flooded?

  1. Check the world bank statistics. Or you’ll tell me that Morena made it up? https://documents.worldbank.org/en/publication/documents-reports/documentdetail/099911301062539606

  2. Inflación is everywhere. Mostly caused by uncertainties in the market by the orange guy. Even with it, Mexico is still has kept it down in comparison

  3. im starting to think nothing will change your mind, that everything Morena does will be bad.

  4. Yes infrastructure. Like: refineria, tren maya, tren transoceánico, AIFA (doesn’t flood you monkey) etc…. Now tell me what did previous governments do?

& yes Samsung and other companies like Electra need to pay TAXES. If not, what stopping others from not paying as well. Who do you think we are the USA?

  1. made up numbers, just like all politicians. You want statistics? How about all the journalists and environmental protectors that got killed in AMLO 's administration

  2. You're comparing Mexico with USA? They have their political issues right now, compare with other first world countries. Like Germany, even better Denmark, like what AMLO said that our medical system is at their level while there's no medicine in the public sector, all lies.....

  3. I'm starting to think you're one of the people that got a job in their party because you're spreading their lies.

  4. The new refinery? Are you kidding me? What about Huichol fiscal . chAIFA? They just used a small and old military airport that nobody wants to use and they cancelled NAICM that was going to be better because "corruption" that he never proved, btw those corrupted companies? They got more money coz they fined the government in cancelled contacts. Nobody wants the tren Maya... Well AMLO does because he bought properties among it and their value increased.

I'm not against Electra paying his taxes, hell why don't they force him, you forgot that Salinas Pliego is AMLO 's friend? Why didn't he do anything during his administration. Nobody likes that guy

And they are trying to make companies like Samsung to pay double taxes. The only thing they and going to do is force them to go to China instead of keeping jobs here...

Mira te pudiera contestar pero no ahí peor ciego que no quiere ver. El pueblo de México en su gran mayoría seguirá votando por Morena. Por que si ahí cambios les guste o no.

I'm going to reply in Spanish since you think I'm not Mexican, sorry for whoever can't understand.

Y cuando soltó al Chapito? Cada año hacen su Badiraguato fest porque lo soltaron? A poco muy pro mujer pero ahí tienes al Salgado mascerdonio gobernando a través de su hija? No manches, chairo

[–] daguma118@lemmy.zip 2 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Tranquilo viejo.

[–] peyotecosmico@programming.dev 0 points 3 days ago

English: Mexico didn't arrest the Chapito, be turned himself in to US authorities.

Are you complaining about the old political parties? Morena is made from their old ex members.

You're just repeating all the lies that mumm-ra (we call Sheinbaun like that because she looks the same) says in h her daily show. All politicians are the same the only difference right now is that cartels have more power and they are giving the equivalent to $100 USD monthly to buy votes...
