I don’t need Wikipedia to tell me that animals are persons and not property. Anything that has a conscious perspective has personhood.

I'm serious insofar as I think that sentient beings absolutely can be enslaved. Am I drawing the parallel to the rhetoric of racist slaveowners in earnest? No.
