It's pretty demoralizing to see it full of dirty dishes again the next day, though.
I never had this problem when I lived alone but now it's a daily issue having my housemates leaving their shit from the night before in there. Living with other people is hell.
My housemates constantly leave their dishes on the table, despite me always asking them to rinse off the damn dishes and put them in the empty and open dishwasher. Sometimes they don't even eat what I make and have the gall to call it "yucky".
In case it's not obvious - these are my kids.
I'd almost prefer that. At least it'd be out of the way so I can wash mine. I don't care if they eat what I do or not. I just want to not have to deal with their shit being in the way all the time when I need to use the kitchen.
In case it wasn't obvious (re-reading it now, I don't think it was....) - I was talking about my kids 😅
Have you tried training them with a spray bottle?
Oh shit yeah. Fuck all of that.
Then asking them to clean their dishes and having them argue with you...
