Honestly I would be upgrading phones anyway and the experience on the apple side is feeling stale. Their software is getting less stable with each release, while the amount of crammed in features is going up.
I agree that you may be having this personal experience. On the other hand, I am not and have been using iOS for many years. The difference could be that I intentionally stay very informed about iOS.
I, personally, will not throw the baby out with the bathwater.
However, if you believe that you will have better experiences using Android, then please make the switch.
Back in 2007 (After many years of making a career out of using Microsoft/Windows products) I started using Linux and MacOS/iOS exclusively and have never looked back.
I have very little experience and/or knowledge of Android. So, I can't comment on that.
