Lindsey, our producer, and J.J. Abrams had read it as well. That would've been amazing. I think it would've been an incredible sort of curio to see Star Trek through his lens. I don't know how it would've gone over with the fans. But it certainly would've been an interesting thing.

Apparently ‘he didn’t hold back’ means ‘he made vague comments about a script he never read’.
