Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.
Example:

- Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
- Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. - No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. - Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
- No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

He is turning it into Mar-a-Lago.
I get it, he wants to make it feel like home if he's gonna be living there for the rest of his life.
He won't be stepping down from this gig, he knows the consequences he'll have to face if he becomes a normal citizen again.
Much of the White House was decorated by Jackie Kennedy, and her husband ended up spending the rest of his life there, so maybe this will be the same thing...
I like the cut of your jib
yea I think it's mostly fear driving his every move nowadays. He probably wants to spend his last days as unbothered as possible
If we all try really hard, we can give him a bigly stroke. Hugely.
Like Cloud or Goku channeling the planet.
Trump even recently said it's "pretty clear" he can't run for a 3rd term.
Stop perpetuating this doomer nonsense.
He wouldn't be desperately trying to gerrymander states to keep Senate seats if he truly thought he was a king.
Authoritarianism only works when you get so emotionally beaten down that you acquiesce in advance.
We all know that Trump's words are worth Zero.
He also said he'd never heard of Project 2025 - until he began to implement it. His supporters had been beating the drum for months.
He said he believed in states rights - until some states didn't tow his line.
He said he can't run for a third term, but has also said "that's a shame" and his cronies are beating that drum too "with a plan"
The gerrymandering is to lock in gop supremacy for once he's gone.
I'm more than happy to be proven wrong - hell, I really hope I am, but fool me once...
It's not acquiescence, it's a warning and call to arms. Jan 6 shows us he will go to extreme measures to stay in power. I do not believe he will fail again.
