Stealing is a social construct. As solitary animals, whale sharks cannot engage in stealing.
This was written by the whale shark legal team.
excuse me do you practice whale shark law?
This action is specifically allowed under the Sustenance and Home Act of Reclamation and Keystone Species (SHARKS) of 1818 as proposed by Shark Whalington and ratified by the first North Atlantic Regional Wet and Humid Alliance Legislature (NARWHAL).
JELLYFISH (Joint Eurasian League Lesser Yahoo's Front Ichtyological Society and Hagioscopists) doesn't see that reading in the law and won't stand for it
If they do, I wonder if they know any bird lawyers. I imagine the animal law field is a pretty small community
I knew one guy, but he lost most of his clients after marketing a drink with raw crow eggs as the main ingredient.
ACKTCHU-ALLEE, stealing is a legal construct. Laws only apply to humans, so whale sharks cannot engage in stealing.
Aren’t legal constructs are a subset of social constructs though? Also, I feel like the concept of stealing may predate laws though I have no evidence for this.
It’s got to have, right? My cat understands stealing
so we were eating chicken something. probably fajitas idk this was a while ago. my first soulcat was keeping my older brother's chair warm while he was in the bathroom, just sitting there like they were part of the conversation. suddenly out of the corner of my eye i see this, but with a strip of chicken:

That's not theft. We only see it as theft because the cat does it sneakily, but it only sneaks because if it didn't the fajita might have escaped, as cats assume all food other than wet food and kibble is like mice
kill stealing is still stealling
This sounds like something a whale would say
