I'm single, and can afford food. I recently decided as an exercise, to scale my grocery budget up to simulate my having a 3-person family to feed. Very quickly I could no longer (comfortably) afford food.

It's wild how much performative handwringing there is about the dissolving of the American family by Republicans, in stark contrast to their policies and attitudes.
