Only Rugrats actually holds up. I was in my late teens in 1992. That was the only show on that list that was tolerable.
It's definitely the pick of the litter, from what I have seen. For Halloweeny toons I've been much more likely to reach for Courage the Cowardly Dog, Infinity Train, Owl House, Billy & Mandy, or Scooby Doo Mystery Inc. Though I do harbour a soft spot for the Beetlejuice cartoon I totally recognise it's very mid.
I don't know Infinity Train but the others you list are all good and Beetlejuice was a great cartoon for its time. I vert fondly remember that show.
My kid likes it, but even he thinks they lean on visual puns a bit heavily
I was a huge fan of Xanth/Piers Anthony so I appreciate a good pun.
Good ones, sure. But if I'm a ghost who can morph into a talking version of whatever noun I just said, I'm going to deserve every eyeroll I get.
