Yeah they'll gladly ask for the country as a whole to abandon even attempting anything in that state, ignoring that almost every single state is first past the post, and a 51% majority of Republicans is what speaks instead of the Democrat voters.

The amount of people who will gladly say we need to abandon [random Midwest/southern state] and let them all die because a slim majority votes, ignoring anyone who was prohibited from voting due to:

not being old enough
voting not being by mail, so people often have to take a day off from work
not allowed to due to going to jail
they voted Democrat in a district with a super majority Republican

So to a lot of liberals, we should nsur effectively give up on anything in that state, ignore all the people who Republican policies hurt the most. Just enable the Republican policies!

If they really wanted the help of the federal government/or any sympathy at all, they should single handedly flip an entire state from brainwashed Republicans! But you're the bad guy if you feel the Dems don't like you or your state!
