I’m sure if they keep doing well they will go back to that model. They did already do a good amount of the popular characters though, so I am curious where they would pull from.
HW1 didn't include anyone from A Link to the Past, Oracle of Ages/Seasons, Four Swords, Minish Cap, Phantom Hourglass, or Spirit Tracks. So those would be a good place to start.
So I put together a list of the remaining ones from the popular games and the unused ones. Not many stand out to me.

Could be a cool idea to have a game where you cycle through versions of reincarnations. Maybe Twinrova shenanigans
but I think you’d be limited.
