It was Led from Septerra Core.
That game is a hidden gem. So many dope story beats.
Holy crap I thought I was the only one that played that game.
It's on Steam if you want to relive the experience.
Last time it was mentioned here on Lemmy I was surprised how many other people also thought they were the only one who played it.
I actually have it on gog, but I've had a few issues running it on Linux. I haven't tried it a while, and I didn't troubleshoot much at all. I should give it another try.
I used Steam's Proton to run it and it's great. You can even add the installer as a non-steam game to set it up, then add the game executable into Steam that same way once it's installed.
