Welcome to General Memes

Memes for the masses, chuckles for the chosen.

Rule 1: Be Civil, Not CruelWe’re here for laughs, not fights.

  • No harassment, dogpiling, or brigading
  • No bigotry (transphobia, racism, sexism, etc.)
  • Keep it light — argue in the comments, not with insults

Rule 2: No Forbidden FormatsNot every image deserves immortality on the memmlefield. That means:

  • No spam or scams
  • No porn or sexually explicit content
  • No illegal content (seriously, don’t ruin the fun)
  • NSFW memes must be properly tagged

If you see a post that breaks the rules, report it so the mods can take care of it.

Otherwise consider this your call to duty. Get posting or laughing. Up to you

The worst part about youtube is that it TRIES TO LIE TO YOU by suggesting that ANY AND I MEAN ANY problem is due to your adblock (its not) it literally puts a little shitty caption that thanks god gets swatted with the fury of a thousand gaping black holes by UBLOCK ORIGIN GET IT DOWNLOAD IT SPREAD ITS SHINING SUN LIKE GLORY

Youtube put in an ad-blocker-blocker so UBlock Origin made an ad-blocker-blocker-blocker.

Is that a The Big Hit reference?

The escalation is almost to a head. Very soon, they're going to start encrypting and changing it up often. We've seen tests of this knocking people out here and there.

I wouldn't be surprised if they eventually do something that changes often enough to make the blockers unreasonable. We'll end up going back to commercial detection and comskip.

Sponsorblock does this, kinda. It's crowdsourced.

Sponsorblock is awesome, and it will continue to work well if they keep the commercials in the same spot in every video. If they go through the rest of the full DRM, I can't imagine they'd leave that alone.
