Fun fact: the m16 has a pew-pew-pew mode for three rounds, but ours accepted only 20- and 50-round mags. (If I remember right)
30 round banana mags became standard by the first gulf war and were certainly ubiquitous by the time of my pointless rotations hunting wmds. Very unfamiliar with 50 though. That like half a C mag?
The chuckle I always had was with the thought of the alpha 1s, fully auto, with the 20 round Vietnam mags. That musta been like the BAR in ww2.... and I'm reloading and I'm reloading...
