Wasn't it named Prussia or even The Holy Roman Empire at the time?
Much of Poland had been stolen by imperialist powers, but the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth still existed at this time, albeit in a weakened state. It would receive its final deathblow in the 1790s.
Though, oddly enough, there was also this one Prussian general with the continentals...
