My real identity isnt attached to my online self, especially on lemmy.

Im not left, socialist, communist, anarchist or anything like that, a bit liberal though, socialist too a wee bit. Im very much not like an average lemmy visitor. My views on politics, religion and intelligence are in contrast to an average federated lemmy user.

I wouldn't ever want to be doxxed here because leftist aren't just violent, but they are actively violent, and i would expect they would try to follow through with threats more than an average group.

No, it feels like the attitude of some on the left is that any self identifying Republicans cause harm and deserve harm and that it is a righteous act to cause that harm...

This can't be only me that feels this kinda way? I mean, for one recent example is all the destruction and vandalism of Tesla vehicles because Elon worked with Trump basically... these people are mentally ill to vandalis someone's personal vehicle thinking they really "stuck it to the man". An example, someone randomly keyed my brothers tesla... seriously, some of these people are driven by hate.

I would guess that is like the average Lemmy visitor, and maybe even the average Lemmy poster. The ones that picked a club are just a lot more visible.

Maybe more than average, but it's 98% pure shitposters. Pretty much all extremist forums are, and sorting out who is who drives the cops crazy.

You're right on money. Nearly all the violent, threatening, extremist shit talk is only that, talk. But then there is the 2% youre talking about, that comes after all the violent rhetoric. Ive heard leftist threat/wish violence against certain groups/individuals who i could be classified as. Im sure the threats and potential threats keep the cops very busy.

I'm actually including total dabblers in the 2%, but I get what you're saying.

Usually the people you're thinking about go after United Health CEOs, though, not somebody who made them mad online. I wouldn't worry too much.
