Not disparaging anyone (on the contrary I kinda like Punk Rave, I got a couple of their t-shirts) I just thought the historical notes were kinda interesting.

A fast-fashion-like clothing line focused on "dark" styles whose URL is mentioned in the image above. (but they ship direct from their factories in China, so I buy off vampirefreaks which ships from the US.)

I think some trad goths look down on lines like Punk Rave and Killstar and Devil Fashion, etc. bc it's cooler to DIY. Which, yeah sure. But wtf I'm old so I'm uncool by definition, and I just buy their t-shirts it's not like I'm posing on Insta or anything.

Thank you. I've been meaning to buy some shirts from Vampirefreaks.

They're kinda pricey... I bought some like 1-2 years ago back when I had a good job and came into a bit of extra money just when a bunch of my t-shirts died. But since then I've only bought duplicates of things I know fit and that I like.

It's tricky to get the right size bc some brands use "Asian sizing" and others use "European sizing" and some of the size guides are a little weird. I did my best estimates, kept track of what size I was for each brand, and returned things that didn't fit (but I got burned once when I bought something on sale as-is and it was too small, so I had to give it to a friend.)

I usually only get cotton or cotton-blend items bc I like the feel better, tho I have a couple things that are pure synthetic. I've been washing them on delicate in garment bags and line-drying and they've lasted pretty well since then. Dunno if I could do daily wears of them like @RubberElectrons@lemmy.world does, but they're good to have in the mix.
