Well, yeah? Epstein was at the top of his game during those years and 3 years later finally got nailed to the wall.

He wasn't nailed until June of 2019, after returning from holiday in France. Curiously, a place he could have been easily arrested and extradited from, if their own national security state could have bothered. Apparently, he'd been on his game in France for 5 fucking years while their local law enforcement had dragged its heels.

He'd still be at-large today, probably hobnobbing with Macron and Mandelson at an exclusive restaurant in Versailles, if he'd simply been smart enough not to walk directly into the waiting arms of the FBI.
