Money bags here with their "computer room" and "AOL"
The Computer room would most certainly be the living room or basement where the "family pc" lives.
FR we used NetZero with the computer basically in the kitchen.
Instead of AOL we had some small time ISP that no one has ever heard of because my dad hated paying for internet access.
My family had Juno.
I love that brief period in human history from about 1995 to 2010 where a lot of us collectively had a space in the house called "The Computer Room"
The room may before have served some other forgotten purpose, but it at once was given over to the towering beige monolith, thrumming with the chitter of spinning platters, and the Gaussian twang of its glowing Cathode Tube. The wants of the Machine were insatiable, and the plinth on which it lay grew large, cables sprouting in tangled nests for the dual appendages of scanner and printer, servants to the twin Gods of Input and Output. Offerings of Data were made, some square-black and some shiny-round, kept always near, lest the Machine hunger with toothless sliding maw. And when the time was right, the Machine squealed a piercing abyssal shriek, reaching out for its brethren across a dark ocean of unfathomable distance.
And then it was all gone, and now we just have a spare bedroom again.
