Very true! Let’s not for about the religious war going on, whose deity fucks 8 year olds.

Or the cult that plays pedo shuffle with the clergy.

All religions are groomers and pedos.

[–] LodeMike@lemmy.today 5 points 1 week ago

Don't you mean organized religions?

Just providing theological clarification for educational purposes here, not necessarily refuting your point.

Muhammad is not seen as a deity in Islam, he is seen as the final messenger of God.

Many took issue with the Trinitarism of Christianity (which may have came into existance due to a compromise with Roman polytheistic paganism in the 4th century).

Islam was in part a refutation to the divinity of Jesus. Muhammad's desire was to unite the Arabian peninsula and bring the "descendants of Abraham" back to true monotheism.

He succeeded in uniting the peninsula, but the Jewish and Christian people did not adopt his message. As a result we have three Abrahamic today with Islam being the youngest.

Christian and Islamic empires then spent centuries at each other's throats.

And he’s the one that fucked the 8 year old eh?

[–] shawn1122@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I mean this earnestly, which religious deity fucks 8 year olds?

[–] BroBot9000@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

Mohammed.

Got a child wife aged 6 or 8 depending on the sources.

Just another shining pillar of religious child grooming and the typical pedo behaviour that they like to worship.

excuse me my religion mostly centers around picking lavender and eating seafood

[–] BroBot9000@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Is yours recognized by the government and are you tax exempt for it?

Also, seafood has been shown to have some of the most microplastics of all the food we consume. Might want to cut back a bit for your own health.

[–] HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (1 children)

we haven't formed a corporation or applied for 501 status since we don't collect any money, but we exist

also, i have macroplastics i'm not so worried about the micros

[–] BroBot9000@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago

Then you’re not a religion yet. Just a small cult.

Microplastics are what’s breaking through the blood-brain barrier, so you might want to reconsider that stance.

Ehhhh… I feel like that last sentence might be revealing your own bigotry. Just because they’re bad doesn’t mean they’re all that bad or bad in that particular way.

[–] j4k3@piefed.world 6 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Dogma is bad. It is blind to observable phenomenon and fails to yield to those that are demonstrably smarter. Dogma is subsentient latent animalistic primitivism that elevates ignorance and complacency to parity with a well established and supported reality.

Belief in magic is toxic stupidity that holds back all of humanity. Any denialism of those that rigorously observe and document their findings, while inviting other equally qualified and credentialed experts to review and critique their work, is that bad. the fact that many of these fools inherit vast sums of money is the root cause of all the issues in the western world. A lack of meritocracy is a terminal cancer of which we are in late stage failure due to the penal colony inbred reject Puritans the Europeans purged 300 years ago, and the festering putrid froth simmering in their shadow.

[–] s@piefed.world 0 points 1 week ago (1 children)

At first I thought you were agreeing with me, and then I saw you reference my “that bad” in an apparent rebuttal. I was taking issue with only the last sentence of BroBot’s comment, which assumes much more and much worse than just dogma is present every religion.

[–] j4k3@piefed.world 5 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I probably abstract on a more broad layer than I manage to communicate. Those things mentioned like grooming and pedophilia are certainly not universal to all members but they are enabled by the collective dogma.

The dogma and institutions create an outsourced imitation of morality and ethics. However, they only possess the mechanisms of shame and guilt to alter behavior. These systems cannot create positive change or growth. They actually incentivise simply not getting caught.

So while everyone is not actively grooming or a pedo, the overall system is fundamentally flawed and enables groomers and pedos in a way that can be construed as universally harmful under the auspice of dogma.

In addition, the culture of dichotomous logic prevents open discussion and actionable help for those that may find children arousing. It is a major failure when the taboo is in such great conflict with the Epstein list where obviously most of elite society has engaged in the behavior.

My issue is that religion is outsourcing of morality and ethics. That is not real morality or ethics at all. It is harmful tribalism. Yeah, I pin dogma to the issue of groomers and pedos because dogma indicts the entire tribalistic structure for the behavior at the margins.

[–] s@piefed.world 3 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Yeah I agree it enables that and creates an environment for it to thrive, but I’m not into Minority Report-ing people for things they haven’t done yet

[–] j4k3@piefed.world 2 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I'm totally liberal friend. I am stupid about a great many things too. I call out the issues I see. I escaped the religion of my birth. I know the fallacy well. Everyone has a right to be wrong in a real democracy. They have no right to cause harm to others. The Hippocratic aphorism, "first, do no harm" is the most important principal. So just live and let live. So long as the person is not causing you bad health or violence, they have every right to live in peace.

How many times do we need to have the priests be revealed as the groomers and pedos before we learn?

How many times has it not been trans or drag queens.

Oh! Every time over the decades it turns out to be the churches.

Churches are organized pedo rings in disguise, using faith as an excuse to control and manipulate the uneducated masses.

An individuals choice to believe whatever you want in the privacy of your own home is their own but the moment you join an organization ran by pedos pushing your agenda into politics and onto others, you can go fuck yourself and your cult.

[–] s@piefed.world 1 points 1 week ago (1 children)

In what ways does your argument apply to the religions of Hinduism, Buddhism, or Jainism, for example?

[–] BroBot9000@lemmy.world 0 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Same supernatural fake thinking that will leave you open to manipulation and not seeing the reality we live in.

If you have to sacrifice and live under the rules of a nonexistent deity for the sake of an afterlife that doesn’t exist then you are part of a death cult. Simple as that.

[–] s@piefed.world -1 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Yes, but I asked how your argument applies to them. Show evidence to support your generalization of people, or be deemed a bigot.

[–] BroBot9000@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago (1 children)

And I’ll repeat:

Same supernatural fake thinking that will leave you open to manipulation and not seeing the reality we live in.

The only bigotry I see is that of religious nutjobs pushing nothing more than “elaborate fantasies” of how they wished the world would magically work. All to control the uneducated masses.

I’m not here to debate with some religious apologist. Get blocked and thoughts and prayers to you. 😘

Since I’m blocked, we all agree this user is off their nut, right?
