Lots of sexual blackmail is nullified if you aren’t ashamed of who you are. It’s why religión and government try to keep people ashamed of their bodies. Ashamed people are easy to control when you have kompromat on them.

Even if you aren’t ashamed of who you are, the blackmail is much easier if they make who you are illegal.
