I’ve spent the past several weeks doing everything I possibly can to stop a persistent bad actor from repeatedly posting disallowed content on my page. I’ve used all the moderation tools provided in the plugin guide and even built additional systems of my own in an attempt to stop them. Members of the community and I have spent countless hours of our personal time trying to address the situation.
At first, this individual was able to bypass bans — likely by using a VPN or similar methods — and continued returning to post more. I implemented extensive regex filters to combat the issue, but unfortunately, those filters ended up penalizing users who were following the rules. Since filters currently apply globally across all galleries, rather than just the public one, legitimate users were affected as well.
With help from more experienced users, I’ve tried numerous approaches to prevent this troll from posting highly disturbing pornographic content, but there appears to be a fundamental vulnerability in the way page code currently works. I won’t go into specifics here, but I hope that @perchance can consider changes to make bans truly effective and to close the loopholes that allow page manipulation by people we simply want to block.
It would also be extremely helpful if content filters could be applied to the public gallery only, rather than to all galleries on a page. At this point, I’ve banned close to 500 user tags — the vast majority of which are likely just one or two people returning with a fresh user tag from vpn use or however they may be doing so.
Another serious issue that has emerged is the manipulation of the thumbs-up and thumbs-down voting system. Several users from another page migrated to my generator after a bad actor there appeared to have found a way to repeatedly downvote their images. This not only discouraged those creators from participating but also led to their work becoming far less visible, undermining the community’s ability to share and enjoy content fairly.
After exhausting every possible solution, I finally made the difficult decision to disable the gallery on my page. I never wanted things to reach this point. My only goal has been to create and share images like everyone else, and my efforts to stop this disruptive behavior have been motivated by a desire to protect the community of rule-abiding users who are also negatively impacted by these ongoing issues.
Edit a small word change, also i intentionally left off a link to my gen im not wanting to advertise just to bring attention and hopefully find a solution to this. i know the dev is a busy person so ty in advance for even taking the time to read this if you do. if it would help to demonstrate some of the things i have mentioned above i can provide links or screenshots anything at all if it helps.
